as a kid i don’t know why but i always used to get mixed up with 8 and 9 in arabic and had to think for like 5 seconds to differentiate between them. they’re not even similar in sound they’re thamanya and tis3a but idk what was up w me so whenever i’d go to the momtherland and i had to pay i’d give the guy a 10 shekel coin and just wait for my change. if i got 2 shekels back, i knew it was 8 and if i got 1 back, it was 9. either that or i’d get hustled without even knowing thinking it was really 9 shekels but it was 8 and they just took an extra shekel from me lol good times

i love that we’re able to type arabic in english transliteration because no one can understand it except those fluent in both arabic and english and it’s not like you can just copy and paste it into google translate it won’t recognize the letters/numbers mix this is exactly the type of #privacy i need on tumblr.com

When I tell people to delete anon hate, to not publish it, it’s not me saying “ignore it and it’ll stop; don’t fight back.” It is 100% petty and spiteful. Honestly, I can’t think of anything better than the person who sent the hate obsessively checking your blog and refreshing and refreshing, waiting for you to reply, and getting increasingly frustrated when the ask they so masterfully crafted never pops up & you just keep posting cute pictures of your pets and talking about how nice your day was.
